Pre-Requisites for using own PLD

If you would like to use your own learning device instead of purchasing the school’s prescribed PLD, please ensure that your device meets the following requirement:

Wi-Fi Function	Support at least IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac standard that uses 5GHz band Does not support IEEE 802.11 b/g standard
Input	· Keyboard · Inking function (stylus / free hand) · Touchscreen
Device Age	Device should not be older than 4 years from manufacturing date
Battery	Hold charge for at least 4 hours
Auto Update Expiration (AUE) Date	AUE date should be June 2024 and onwards

Please note that the PDLP Hotline operating hours is as follows: Weekdays 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Lunch hour: 12.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m.)

Note:

1. You / your child may be required to bring the device to school to facilitate the checking of the laptop requirements by our ICT personnel. Do note that you / your child will need to be physically present during the check which will take about 15 minutes.
